Job summary

Akin seeks a part-time Family Resource Specialist in Spokane Valley to greet visitors, connect families with resources, and support daily FRC operations. You will handle PHI/CII data, assist with referrals, and help maintain the resource room.

This role emphasizes welcoming service and accurate data entry. Responsibilities include assisting with program information, supporting Family Navigation, and coordinating with site programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years’ experience in social or human services with families.
• Valid driver’s license and favorable driving record (no more than three violations in 3 years).

Responsibilities

• Welcome families to the Family Resource Center in person or by phone and provide warm, supportive service.
• Assist participants in accessing concrete goods in the resource room.
• Provide information about Akin programs and external resources.
• Refer participants to Family Navigation for preventive and development activities.
• Refer participants to other Akin programs available by site.
• Refer participants to external resources as needed/appropriate.
• Maintain Resource Room stock and notify FRC Manager of resource needs.
• Enter data about visits, inventory, and other data as assigned.
• Provide light clerical support and assist with FRC mobile implementation.
• Support the operations of the Akin Family Resource Center.
