LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time substitute teacher to support LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis. The role requires active church involvement and a mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise beliefs.

You will implement provided lesson plans and maintain a safe, engaging classroom environment. The position emphasizes clear communication with teachers and volunteers, attendance tracking, and representing LifeWise Academy within the community.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the What We Believe section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the What We Believe section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom
• Know procedures for emergency situations
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties
• Communicate with the teacher
