Job summary

Physicians Eyecare Group is seeking a compassionate Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive eye care and integrative optometric services in Santa Fe, NM. The PT role supports surgical co-management and collaboration with ophthalmology within a dynamic team.

Applicants must hold an active NM NP license, DEA, and an MSN/DNP. On-site duties include eye exams, diagnostics, and patient education, with a flexible schedule and supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP license in New Mexico.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one.
• MSN or DNP from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 2 years NP experience, preferably in primary care/ophthalmology.
• Strong proficiency with EHR/EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams including acuity testing and refractions.
• Diagnose and manage common ocular conditions and co-manage post-operative care.
• Order imaging and ocular testing such as OCT and visual fields.
• Refer to ophthalmology when advanced intervention is needed.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation and participate in quality initiatives.
