Job summary

Physicians Eyecare Group is seeking a compassionate Certified Nurse Practitioner to join our new eyecare center in Farmington, NM. The NP will perform comprehensive eye exams, co-manage post-operative care, and provide integrative optometric services. A NM NP license and DEA are required; ophthalmic experience is valued.

The role offers a flexible part-time schedule, on-site work at 4906 E Main St, with opportunities to contribute to advanced ocular care and patient well‑being.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP license issued by the New Mexico Board.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one in New Mexico.
• MSN or Doctor of Nursing Practice from an accredited program.
• Minimum 2 years NP experience; primary care/ophthalmology/integrative medicine preferred.
• Strong proficiency with EHR/EMR and clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams including visual acuity testing, refraction assessments, and anterior/posterior segment evaluations.
• Co-manage pre- and post-operative care for cataract, LASIK and other procedures.
• Order diagnostic imaging and ocular testing (OCT, visual fields, fundus photography).
• Refer patients to ophthalmologists or specialists when needed.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the EHR and participate in QA.
