Job summary

Physicians Eyecare Group seeks a compassionate Certified Nurse Practitioner to deliver comprehensive eye care and integrative optometric services in New Mexico. The role includes ocular assessments, co-management of ocular conditions, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient well-being.

The position requires an active NM NP license, DEA registration, and 2+ years of clinical NP experience, with preference for ophthalmology or integrative medicine exposure.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP license issued by the NM Board of Nursing.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility in NM.
• MSN or DNP from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 2 years of NP clinical experience; ophthalmology/integrative medicine preferred.
• Strong proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and clinical documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams including visual acuity, refraction, and anterior/posterior segment evaluations.
• Co-manage pre- and post-operative care for cataract surgery, LASIK, and other procedures.
• Order diagnostic imaging and ocular testing (e.g., OCT, visual fields).
• Refer patients to ophthalmologists or specialists when needed.
• Provide integrative optometric care consultations addressing nutrition and lifestyle.
