Job summary

Physicians Eyecare Group is seeking a compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our eyecare center in Roswell, NM. The NP will provide comprehensive eye care, perform full ocular assessments, and co-manage surgical care in a collaborative multi-disciplinary environment. ANM license and active DEA are required.

The role emphasizes integrative optometric care, ophthalmic diagnostics, and patient education, with a flexible schedule and on-site clinic operations.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP license issued by the NM Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams including visual acuity testing, refraction, and anterior/posterior segment evaluations.
• Co-manage pre- and post-operative care for cataract surgery, LASIK, and other ophthalmic procedures.
• Order diagnostic imaging and ocular testing (e.g., OCT, visual fields, fundus photography).
• Refer patients to ophthalmologists or specialists when findings exceed NP scope or require surgical intervention.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and collaborate with clinical support staff and stay current with evidence-based practices.
