Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Daytona Beach is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to join our plasma center team. You will determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review lab results, and communicate test outcomes under the guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician. This role requires clinical experience, state licensure in eligible professions (EMT, LPN/LVN, or RN), CPR/AED, and completion of BioLife training. Part-time hours with competitive wage and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and nursing program graduate credential.
• Current licensure: EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I, EMT-P, LPN/LVN, or RN in the state of responsibility.
• CPR and AED certification required.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history, and test review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/EHS.
• Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS.
