Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Orlando, FL is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor safety, review test results, and assist in emergency procedures.

You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician, with training in SOPs, EHS guidance, and vaccination programs. A nursing or EMT background with CPR/AED certification is required.

Qualifications

• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Licensed or certified in the state of responsibilities: EMT, LPN/LVN, or RN.
• High school diploma or equivalent plus completion of nursing program.
• Current CPR and AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility; obtain informed consent and confidential self-exclusion, obtain medical history and acceptance requirements.
• Review SPE and laboratory test results; notify donors of unsuitable test results.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical guidance.
