Job summary

MARC, Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals to aid people with developmental disabilities in their group homes in Manchester, CT. This part-time role involves supporting daily living activities, developing natural supports, and helping residents grow toward personal goals.

Applicants should have compassion, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and good judgment. A CT driver’s license and vehicle are required; CPR/First Aid/PMT/Meds certs are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid CT Driver's License and vehicle with current CT registration and insurance; driving is required.
• CPR, First Aid, PMT and Medication Certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to persons served and implements services.
• Encourages involvement in the community using natural supports.
• Assists with home, finances, nutrition, and medical needs as needed.
• Collaborates with Group Home Manager on goals for people served.
• Maintains resident rights and confidentiality; prevents abuse or neglect.
