Job summary

MARC INC OF MANCHESTER is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist people with developmental disabilities in their group homes in Manchester, CT. The role involves supporting daily living activities, finances, nutrition, medical needs, and community involvement.

The position is part-time with flexible hours, including nights and weekends. A valid CT driver’s license and vehicle are required, with CPR/First Aid/PMT and Medication Certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain CT license, auto-registration, and vehicle insurance as driving is required.
• Knowledge of proactive thinking and positive supports.

Responsibilities

• Provide staff and natural supports to each person served.
• Assist individuals with daily activities including home, finances, nutrition, and medical needs.
• Support individuals in achieving personal goals and community involvement.
• Work with Group Home Manager on goals for people served.
• Ensure residential settings meet physical standards at all times.
• Respect rights and confidentiality; model positive behavior.
• Attend MARC trainings (CPR, First Aid, PMT, Med Certification) within six months of hire.
• Transport individuals in agency or personal vehicle as needed.
