Job summary

MARC, Inc. of Manchester is hiring Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in group homes in Manchester, CT. The role requires compassion, strong communication, and the ability to support daily living activities, finances, nutrition, and medical needs.

The position is part-time with flexible hours including nights and weekends. A valid CT driver’s license and vehicle are required; CPR/First Aid/PMT and medication certification are preferred and training

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain CT driver’s license, auto-registration and vehicle insurance.
• Knowledge of proactive thinking and positive supports.

Responsibilities

• Provide staff and natural supports to individuals in residential settings.
• Assist with daily living activities including home, finances, nutrition and medical needs.
• Support individuals in community involvement using natural supports.
• Collaborate with Group Home Manager on goals for individuals served.
• Maintain safety and rights; ensure confidentiality and positive role modelling.
• Attend MARC trainings including CPR/First Aid/PMT and Medication Certification.
