Job summary

Myers-Davis in Little Rock, Arkansas, is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join its team supporting the Arkansas DDS Waiver program.

Reporting to the Direct Care Supervisor & Waiver Services Director, the DSP will work in a compassionate, person-centered way to help individuals build skills, maintain safety, and participate in community activities. This is a part-time role offering 20-25 hours per week with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid state license or ID.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen & background checks.
• Should exhibit characteristics such as patience, kindness, and understanding.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit compassion, support consumers, and ensure a safe environment
• Foster independence in individuals
• Help individuals acquire skills, such as social behavior & interpersonal competence
• Provide a person-centered care approach to all individuals we support
• Assist with community outings, personal hygiene assistance, mobility exercises and meal prep
• Assist with verbal prompting for communication needs and in home safety practices
