Job summary

Myers Davis Life Coaching Inc in Marion, Arkansas is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our community-based services team.

Reporting to the Direct Care Supervisor & Waiver Services Director, the DSP will support individuals, promote independence, assist with daily living tasks, and participate in community activities according to the Arkansas DDS Waiver program.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid state license or ID.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen & background checks.
• Patience, kindness, and understanding are desirable traits.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit compassion, support consumers, and ensure a safe environment.
• Foster independence in individuals.
• Help individuals acquire skills, such as social behavior & interpersonal competence.
• Provide a person-centered care approach to all individuals we support.
• Assist with community outings, personal hygiene assistance, mobility exercises and meal prep.
• Assist with verbal prompting for communication needs and in home safety practices.
