Job summary

Myers-Davis Life Coaching Inc in Arkansas is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team under the DDS Community Based Services. The role supports individuals with developmental disabilities in a supportive, person-centered environment, with evening shifts.

You will assist with daily living tasks, encourage independence, accompany community outings, help with personal hygiene, meal prep, and safety practices while using verbal prompting when needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid state license or ID.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen & background checks.
• Should exhibit patience, kindness, and understanding.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit compassion, support consumers, and ensure a safe environment.
• Foster independence in individuals.
• Help individuals acquire skills, such as social behavior & interpersonal competence.
• Provide a person-centered care approach to all individuals we support.
• Assist with community outings, personal hygiene assistance, mobility exercises and meal prep.
• Assist with verbal prompting for communication needs and in home safety practices.
