Job summary

Myers-Davis Life Coaching Inc. in Arkansas is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our Waiver program team. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 2:00pm–10:00pm, reporting to the Direct Care Supervisor & Waiver Services Director.

You will support consumers with compassion, foster independence, assist with daily living skills, community activities, personal hygiene, and in-home safety, using a person-centered care approach.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid state ID or license.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen & background checks.
• Should exhibit patience, kindness, and understanding.
• Adheres to Myers-Davis’ mission, vision and philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit compassion, support consumers, and ensure a safe environment
• Foster independence in individuals
• Help individuals acquire skills, such as social behavior & interpersonal competence
• Provide a person-centered care approach to all individuals we support
• Assist with community outings, personal hygiene assistance, mobility exercises and meal prep
• Assist with verbal prompting for communication needs and in home safety practices
