Job summary

Myers Davis Life Coaching Inc in Jonesboro, AR is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join the team delivering Community Based Services under the Arkansas DDS Waiver. This part-time position supports individuals to achieve personal goals in their daily lives.

As a DSP, you will provide person-centered care, assist with community outings, mobility, meal preparation, and verbal prompting for communication and safety at home. Weekend hours are 10:00am–5:00pm, Saturday and Sunday.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a valid state license or ID
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen & background checks
• Should exhibit patience, kindness, and understanding

Responsibilities

• Exhibit compassion, support consumers, and ensure a safe environment
• Foster independence in individuals
• Help individuals acquire skills, such as social behavior & interpersonal competence
• Provide a person-centered care approach to all individuals we support
• Assist with community outings, personal hygiene assistance, mobility exercises and meal prep
• Assist with verbal prompting for communication needs and in home safety practices
