Job summary

Myers Davis Life Coaching Inc is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Paragould, AR, to join the team delivering Community Based Services under Arkansas DDS. The role is full-time, with a Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm schedule, reporting to a Direct Care Supervisor and Waiver Services Director.

The DSP will provide compassionate support, promote independence, assist with daily living skills, and help with community outings and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the United States
• At least 18 years old
• Must have a valid state ID or license
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks
• Patience, kindness, and understanding are desirable

Responsibilities

• Exhibit compassion, support consumers, and ensure a safe environment
• Foster independence in individuals
• Help individuals acquire skills, such as social behavior and interpersonal competence
• Provide a person-centered care approach to all individuals supported
• Assist with community outings, personal hygiene, mobility exercises and meal prep
• Assist with verbal prompting for communication needs and in-home safety practices
