Job summary

Myers-Davis Life Coaching Inc. seeks a Direct Support Professional to join the team delivering Community Based Services under the Arkansas DDS waiver program. The role reports to the Direct Care Supervisor & Waiver Services Director and runs Monday–Friday, 7:45am–3:45pm.

Key duties include compassionate support, promoting independence, skill-building in social behavior and communication, and helping with outings, hygiene, mobility, and meals. Requires eligibility to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid state license or ID.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen & background checks.
• Should exhibit characteristics such as patience, kindness, and understanding.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit compassion, support consumers, and ensure a safe environment
• Foster independence in individuals
• Help individuals acquire skills, such as social behavior & interpersonal competence
• Provide a person-centered care approach to all individuals we support
• Assist with community outings, personal hygiene assistance, mobility exercises and meal prep
• Assist with verbal prompting for communication needs and in home safety practices
