Job summary

Whole Life is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to provide person-centered care for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in Connecticut. This role focuses on ADLs, promoting independence, and assisting with daily living activities in a supportive home environment.

Responsibilities include medication administration, monitoring health, documenting care, and coordinating with managers, families, and service providers to implement individualized care plans.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work (SSN, birth certificate or passport).
• Must pass a background check and medical screenings as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment including light housekeeping and laundry.
• Support clients in social activities and community outings to promote independence.
• Document daily activities and observations accurately.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality.

Education

High School Diploma / GED equivalent
