Job summary

Whole Life is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to provide person-centered care for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in Connecticut. You will support ADLs, promote independence, and assist in daily activities, community integration, and meaningful routines.

The role emphasizes building trust with clients and families, ensuring safety, dignity, and well-being while implementing personalized care plans with managers and care teams.

Qualifications

• Proof of High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to stand, move, lift up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to document care in English and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal prep.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and support medical appointments.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment through light housekeeping and laundry.
• Engage clients in social activities and community outings to promote independence.
• Use mobility equipment with proper techniques and document daily activities accurately.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and implement individualized care plans.
