Whole Life is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to provide person-centered care for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in Connecticut. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, medication support, and promoting independence and community involvement.

Qualifications

• Proof of High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and identification documents required.
• Ability to pass background, abuse registry checks and health screenings.
• Lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally as part of ADL support.
• English communication for documentation and client interaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and meal prep.
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs as scheduled.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment with light housekeeping and laundry.
• Engage clients in social activities and community outings to promote independence.
• Use mobility equipment safely and document daily activities and observations.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and protect client confidentiality.
