Job summary

Jasper Engines & Transmissions in Columbia, SC is seeking a Part-Time Delivery Driver to join our team. The role involves loading, delivering to customers, and complying with DOT rules while upholding a professional image of self and truck.

Scheduled for 3 days per week (Mon–Wed, up to 29.5 hours). No weekends or overnight shifts. Starting pay is $20.00/hour with on-the-job training, 401(k) with company match, and ESOP participation.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain licensure/endorsement to drive 20-24' box truck, including a DOT Medical Card.
• Experience driving a 20-24-foot box truck is preferred but not required.
• Must know how to use GPS.
• Ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move products using pallet jack and/or forklift.

Job Overview

Duties Include:

• Loading, unloading, and driving a 20-24' box truck.
• Safe and timely delivery to our customers with a high level of customer service.
• Following DOT rules and regulations.
• Conducting thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintaining a clean, professional image of self and vehicle.
• Assisting with branch warehouse support.

The ideal candidate must be a detail-oriented, energetic, and motivated person.

Schedule:

• 3 days per week, up to 29.5 hours per week. (Mon, Tues, Wed)
• Possibility of additional hours when filling in for other drivers.
• No weekends.
• No overnight shifts.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to obtain the required licensure/endorsement to drive 20-24' box truck, including a DOT Medical Card. (CDL is not required)
• Experience driving a 20-24-foot box truck (preferred but not required).
• Understanding of how to use a GPS.
• The ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move products using a pallet jack and/or forklift.

Pay and Benefits:

• Starting rate $20.00/hour.
