Job summary

Jasper Engines & Transmissions in Union City, CA is seeking a part-time Delivery Driver to join our logistics team. You will load, deliver, and unload goods in a safe, timely manner and provide excellent customer service. This role requires a valid driver license, DOT Medical Card, GPS familiarity, and the physical ability to lift and move items with pallet jacks or forklifts. No CDL required; occasional overnight route as needed and no weekend work.

Qualifications

• Must obtain licensure/endorsement to drive 20-24’ box truck, including a DOT Medical Card (CDL not required).
• Experience driving a 20-24-foot box truck preferred but not required.
• GPS proficiency for routes and deliveries.
• Ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move products using pallet jack or forklift.

Job Overview

Duties Include

• Loading, unloading, and driving a 20-24’ box truck.
• Safe and timely delivery to our customers with a high level of customer service.
• Following DOT rules and regulations.
• Conducting thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintaining a clean, professional image of self and vehicle.
• Assisting with branch warehouse support.

The ideal candidate must be a detail-oriented, energetic, and motivated person.

Schedule

• 1-2 days per week, up to 29.5 hours per week.
• Possibility of additional hours when filling in for other drivers.
• No weekends.
• This branch does require an overnight route, as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain the required licensure/endorsement to drive 20-24’ box truck, including a DOT Medical Card. (CDL is not required)
• Experience driving a 20-24-foot box truck (preferred but not required).
• Understanding of how to use a GPS.
• The ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move products using a pallet jack and/or forklift.

Pay and Benefits

• Starting rate $25.50/hour.
