Job summary

Good Samaritan Society – Howard Lake, MN is seeking a part-time Dietary Cook to join our kitchen team. You will prepare and portion foods for residents, adhere to HACCP guidelines, and maintain sanitation and quality standards.

The role requires working 28 hours weekly on day shifts, with every other weekend. Prior kitchen experience and Serv Safe/BLS may be required depending on location, with competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of applicable kitchen experience preferred.
• Serv Safe may be required depending upon location.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required depending upon location requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble baked goods, cook and portion food for patients/residents, staff and visitors within menu/dietary guidelines.
• Follow HACCP guidelines to prepare, store and use food; document steps and outcomes.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, kettles, grinders, etc.; maintain sanitation.
• Demonstrate teamwork and effective communication with internal customers.
