Job summary

The Lodge of Howard Lake, a Good Samaritan facility in Howard Lake, MN, is seeking a part-time cook for evening shifts. The role includes preparing and serving food while meeting dietary guidelines and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment.

Experience in food service is preferred; on-the-job training is provided. A Serv Safe certification may be required depending on location, and a valid driver’s license could be needed for some duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of applicable experience preferred.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Serv Safe may be required to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food for residents, staff and visitors per menu and dietary requirements.
• Adhere to HACCP guidelines for storage, handling and preparation of food.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness in cooking and serving areas.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, kettles and dishwashers.
