Sodexo at Letourneau University in Longview, TX invites you to join as a part-time Cook. You will prepare and present a variety of hot and cold dishes across all meals, following Sodexo’s culinary standards for quality and presentation, in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

You will work to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient food preparation, maintain a clean workstation, and support kitchen teamwork while upholding high sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present hot and cold food following Sodexo standards.
• Follow recipes and product directions for cooking and serving soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts.
• Taste products, estimate food requirements, check production, and plan supplies and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation and adhere to safety standards.
