Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Cook at DESALES UNIVERSITY to prepare and present hot and cold items across meal periods, following Sodexo culinary standards. In a fast-paced kitchen you will ensure safety, quality, and consistency while maintaining a clean workstation.

You will work full-time with varying shifts; previous food-service experience is favored, and reading recipes and following instructions unsupervised are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Requires familiarity of kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, cook, and present hot and cold foods per standards.
• Follow basic recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking and serving.
• Estimate food requirements and manage production to ensure efficiency.
• Significant walking or mobility required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
