Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Cook I on the Longview Campus Acute Care site in Fort Collins, CO. This part-time role involves preparing and presenting hot and cold items for meals and events, following Sodexo culinary standards, while maintaining a clean workstation and high safety standards.

You will work in a fast-paced kitchen, supporting team operations, ensuring quality and sanitation, and adapting to client requirements across meal periods and events.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Requires familiarity of kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with current applicable standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure high-quality food service is provided.
• Follow basic recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and serving items.
• Taste products, read menus, estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records to plan production and requisition supplies.
• Significant walking or other mobility requirements.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time, possibly over 8 hours.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Perform repetitive motions as part of duties.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with regularity.
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ by account.
