Job summary

Cape Cod Community College is seeking Classroom Assistants to support the Agriculture and Facilities course material and help ensure safe, confidential environments for students. You will assist instructors, enter attendance data, and model professional behavior in line with program expectations.

Qualifications include an associate degree or equivalent experience, a valid driver's license, strong writing and computer skills (Microsoft Office), and authorization to work in the United States.

• Valid driver's license.
• Strong written skills, very strong computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instructional classroom support to students and staff in classroom and field settings as directed by the teacher.
• Implement modifications and adaptations to the environment or materials as directed.
• Assist in maintaining charts, data, and records related to student progress and absences.
• Reinforce academic and social behaviors per instructor and program expectations.
• Model professional skills and problem-solving in classroom settings.
• Assist in managing student behavior using proactive strategies.
• Contribute as a cooperative team member in course and program activities.
• Attend in-service meetings/workshops to maintain classroom skills.
• Provide verbal/written feedback of observations to assist instructors in evaluating students.
• Participate in lesson/activity planning as directed by the instructor.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by Project Forward administration or instructors.
