GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The Front Desk Receptionist serves as a primary point ofcommunication at the front desk of the Adult Education Center (AEC)in Hyannis. The Adult Education Center (AEC) provides no-costeducation services on Cape Cod and the Islands to individuals 16years of age or older, with remote high school equivalency prepclasses and in person English as a Second language classes. Inaddition, the Center for Community and Professional Education(CCAPE) provides a multitude of educational resources catering toindividuals, businesses and organizations.
The Front Desk Receptionist will assist in the effective operationof the front desk in a busy academic environment answering thephone and directing calls to the appropriate offices, greetingstudents, staff, and the public, and directing them to theirdestination. Additional responsibilities will include but not belimited to copying, preparing mailings, folders, test materials,etc., and assisting students with applications forenrollment.
Bilingual language skills (reading, writing, listening &speaking) preferably in Portuguese and/or Spanish andEnglish.
$20.00 per hour, up to 18 hours per week. Part-time, non-benefitted. Non-Unit position, year-round.
