Job Description:
GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide instruction for Personal Finance (BUS175) a 3-credit course that serves as a business elective for students in business programs. This course also meets a general education elective (interdisciplinary studies). Comprehensive instruction includes methodologies for students developing conceptual understanding of personal finance with an emphasis on developing good money management skills. This position is to be filled for the Fall 2026 semester and the course will be delivered/offered on campus.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
  • 1. Provide on campus instruction utilizing educational technologies.
  • 2. Select and develop appropriate materials for class use to fulfill course learning outcomes.
  • 3. Track and assess student progress.
  • 4. Maintain appropriate attendance and learner records.
  • 5. Participate in ongoing professional development.
Requirements:
  • 1. Master's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field (including Education).
  • 2. Effective pedagogical, teaching, and presentation skills.

  • 4. Experience in the accounting field.

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 1. College-level teaching experience.

Additional Information:

COMPENSATION: Anticipated starting salary - Step I DCE Pay Scale (currently $4,536 for 3-credit course). Part-time, non-benefited DCE/MCCC Unit position.
