Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time LifeWise CDL bus driver to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. The role emphasizes safety, punctuality, and a caring demeanor while maintaining a clean, mechanically safe bus and strict adherence to traffic laws.

The position requires a CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement, a clean five-year driving record, and successful completion of background, MVR, and FMCSA checks.

Qualifications

• CDL license required with passenger vehicle (P) endorsement; S endorsement preferred.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in past five years.
• Must pass LifeWise background check, MVR, and FMCSA Clearinghouse checks.
• Drug/alcohol testing required for pre-employment, randoms, and post-accidents.
• All drivers with medical conditions must obtain yearly underwriter-approved Physician's Statement.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and mechanical safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create a safe environment for children and enforce safety rules.
• Assist students entering/exiting and respond calmly to misbehavior.
• Complete LifeWise Academy training and potentially volunteer in LifeWise classroom.
