Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time CDL bus driver to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. You will ensure safety, proper bus maintenance, and adherence to all traffic laws while fostering a calm, caring demeanor.

The role requires a CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement, a clean driving record, and completion of background checks; a school bus endorsement is preferred. Part-time, non-exempt position.

Qualifications

• CDL driver's license with passenger vehicle endorsement (P) required.
• School bus endorsement for S preferred.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in the last five years.
• Age 21–80; drivers above 75 must submit CDL license and P endorsement annually.
• Background check and FMCSA Clearinghouse check required.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing required (pre-employment, random, post-incident).
• Annual Physician's Statement for known medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Transport students and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular inspections of the bus.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children.
