Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a CDL bus driver to provide safe transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The ideal candidate is responsible, punctual, and maintains a clean driving record.

Responsibilities include transporting students and volunteers, obeying traffic laws, keeping the bus clean and safe, performing regular inspections, and completing LifeWise training. This is a part-time, non-exempt position with a grid level 1a.

Qualifications

• Must have CDL license with passenger vehicle endorsement (P)
• School bus (S) endorsement preferred
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in last five years
• Background check and FMCSA Clearinghouse check required
• Annual drug/alcohol testing may be required

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site
• Obey traffic laws
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus
• Perform regular bus inspections
• Refuel as needed
• Create a safe environment for children and enforce safety rules
