Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time CDL bus driver to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. You will be responsible for safe, on-time service and maintaining a clean, safe bus environment.

Applicants must hold a CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement (P), ideally a school bus endorsement, maintain clean driving record, pass background and MVR checks and drug testing, and meet the age requirement of 21–80.

Qualifications

• CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement (P) is required.
• School bus endorsement is preferred for this role.
• A clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in the last 5 years.
• Must pass a background check through LifeWise Academy.
• Must pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and FMCSA Clearinghouse check.
• Drug testing required pre-employment, annually, and after accidents.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and safety procedures at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for students; enforce safety rules.
