Advocate Health seeks a part-time Cardiac Sonographer to perform echocardiography in the Cardiovascular Diagnostics department. The role involves 12:00–20:30 shifts with every third Saturday and participation in call schedules.

You will prepare patients, perform M-mode, 2-D, Doppler, and Color Flow studies, and help ensure high-quality results. Rayective candidates will hold advanced sonography training, be ready to obtain RDCS-AE or RCS and AHA BLS within specified timelines, and work in a

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond high school in sonography.
• No experience required.
• RDCS-AE or RCS certifications and BLS within required timeframes.

Responsabilités

• Performs cardiac ultrasound procedures (M-mode, 2-D, Doppler, Color Flow).
• Identifies abnormalities and expands exam scope as needed.
• Prepares patients and collects history to tailor imaging.
• Assists in transesophageal studies and sterilizes probes.
• Communicates findings to staff and records lab data.
• Maintains Echocardiography Lab equipment and reports malfunctions.
• Demonstrates age-appropriate care for patients across the lifespan.
