Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Cardiac Sonographer at Advocate Christ Medical Center for the Cardiovascular Diagnostics department. The role involves performing echocardiography using M-mode, 2-D, Doppler, and Color Flow techniques, with careful measurements for accurate interpretation.

The position requires an accredited sonography program and RDCS-AE or RCS registration within specified timelines; BLS is also expected.

Qualificações

• Advanced training beyond high school with an accredited sonography program.
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
• Excellent interpersonal and patient service skills.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Responsabilidades

• Performs cardiac ultrasound procedures (M-mode, 2-D, Doppler, Color Flow Doppler) and measures parameters for interpretation.
• Identify cardiac abnormalities and extend the examination scope as needed.
• Prepare patients and collect clinical history to optimize imaging.
• Assist in transesophageal studies and coordinate with cardiologist.
• Communicate findings to staff and document lab activities.
• Maintain Echocardiography Lab equipment and records, report malfunctions.
• Demonstrate age-appropriate patient care and adherence to department policies.
