Job summary

Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, IL seeks a part-time Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS/CCI) for 20 hours/week. The role includes 12:00 PM–8:30 PM shifts with every third Saturday, and exposure to echocardiography in multiple labs. Comprehensive benefits and on-call rotation may apply.

Requires ARDMS/CCI certification within specified timelines and an accredited Sonography program. No prior experience required; however, proficiency in complex sonographic principles is expected.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond high school in Sonography.
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
• Excellent interpersonal and patient service skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs cardiac ultrasound procedures (M-mode, 2-D, Doppler, Color Flow) with quality results.
• Assist physicians in Catheterization/Electrophysiology labs as needed.
• Prepare patients and obtain clinical history to tailor imaging for diagnostic echocardiograms.
• Record statistics and maintain Echocardiography Lab equipment; report malfunctions.
