Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Part-time Cardiovascular Sonographer to join the Christ Medical Center echo lab. The role supports a .5 shift (12:00 PM–8:30 PM) with every third Saturday, performing comprehensive echocardiography and assisting in related procedures.

Qualifications include an accredited advanced sonography program, RDCS/CCI eligibility, and BLS within 6 months. No prior experience required; strong patient care and technical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond high school in Sonography.
• Licensure in Cardiac Sonographer required or obtainable within set timeframe.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiography using M-mode, 2-D, Doppler and Color Flow.
• Identify cardiac abnormalities and extend examination as needed.
• Prepare patients and collect clinical history for accurate studies.
• Assist in transesophageal studies and sterilize equipment.
• Communicate findings to staff and record lab data.
