Job summary

Santa Rosa Junior College is expanding its pool of associate faculty to cover part-time, temporary and on-call assignments. Positions may be immediate or as needed and on-site at various campuses, with no remote-only options.

Assignments are paid hourly, with compensation based on the academic background, vocational and teaching experience, per the AFA contract. Sick leave and CalSTRS retirement options are available to eligible associate faculty.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent instruction and faculty support to students, which may include evening, weekend, online or hybrid and/or off-campus assignments.
• Provide academic assistance and related services to students during scheduled office hours.
• Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of diverse backgrounds in community college students, faculty and staff.
• Maintain currency in field(s) of expertise.
• Associate faculty focus primarily on providing instruction and/or student services.
• Associate faculty are not typically required to participate in District or department service but may be asked to perform these services for additional compensation.
