Job Description

The Budtender provides an exceptional customer experience and educates customers or patients on cannabis products.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Engages with patients and customers to understand their wellness needs and recommends products in English and Spanish.
  2. Educates customers and patients on the benefits of cannabis products in English and Spanish.
  3. Assists with the intake of deliveries, transfers, and inventory management.
  4. Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the store including organizing products and inventory, sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
  5. Performs sales transactions including cash handling, using POS system, and compliantly packaging and labeling products.
  6. Enters or modifies customer/patient information in POS System.
  7. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. 1 year of customer service and/or sales experience.
  2. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
  3. Must hold or obtain a valid Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) Employee Badge.
  4. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  5. Proficiency using Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office programs including Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Word, and Excel.
  6. Proficient in Spanish.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Greets and checks in customers and patients in English and Spanish.
  2. Knowledge of METRC.
  3. Knowledge of local and state laws related to cannabis sales including Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) regulations.
  4. Experience with Cova POS system.
  5. Cannabis knowledge or cannabis industry experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time.
  2. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
  3. Ability to sit, stand, stoop, stretch, walk, bend, twist, reach, perform repetitive motions, and carry boxes or items.

COMPENSATION DETAILS:

  1. Pay Range: $17.50 - $18.50; actual pay will be determined based on qualifications.
  2. Cash tip eligible.
  3. Bonus eligible based on store performance.
  4. Accrue paid time off (PTO) immediately; starting at 2 weeks per year.
  5. Health, dental, vision, life, disability, accident, and critical illness insurance plans are available.
  6. Retirement plans are available after 6 months of employment.
