Are you passionate about the Medicare population, looking for an opportunity to work in sales with the ability to directly impact your own income potential? Do you have a track record of building trusting relationships in the community and exceeding expectations? If so, we are looking for licensed, highly motivated, and self-driven individuals to join our team.

In this field position, you will; build community relationships, drive self-generated sales, and meet sales goals and metrics while working independently. You will be interacting with Humana’s customers, external business partners, and the community through face-to-face, virtual, and telephonic interactions. Face-to-face interactions will include grassroots marketing, community events, and visiting prospects in their homes. Our Medicare Sales Field Agents sell individual health plan products and educate beneficiaries on our services in a field setting. Additional products include Life, Annuity, Indemnity, Dental, Vision, Prescription, and more.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to have daily face-to-face interactions with prospective members in the field is required for this position
  • Active Health Insurance license or ability to obtain prior to start date
  • Experience with technology including high-level use of laptops and mobile applications, with understanding of CRM tools or other sales/marketing resources
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Outlook
  • This role requires a valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100/300/100 limits. A Motor Vehicle Report will be run for this position.
  • Internet connection with a download speed of at least 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable, or DSL connection preferred.
  • Satellite, cellular, and microwave connections are only acceptable if approved by leadership.
  • Work from a dedicated, interruption-free space to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
  • Must reside within the assigned territory/County

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Life and Variable Annuity Insurance licenses
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with TEAMS and PowerPoint
  • Experience engaging with the community through service, organizations, activities, and volunteerism
  • Experience selling Medicare products
  • Bilingual skills in English and an additional language, with proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing
  • Experience in public speaking and presentations

Additional Information

  • Applicants who speak with members in a language other than English must take a language proficiency assessment provided by an outside vendor, such as the ILR test by the Federal Government.

Schedule: Meetings with members may require appointments or events during nights and weekends. Flexibility is essential.

Pay Range

The estimated annual salary for full-time employment (40 hours/week) is $31,800 - $43,800. Compensation includes base pay plus performance-based commissions.
