Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Indiana is seeking a part-time substitute teacher who embodies a mature Christian faith and strong communication with students. This role is non-exempt and hourly, with duties including delivering LifeWise lessons, maintaining a safe classroom, and collaborating with teachers and volunteers.

Candidates will complete substitute teacher training, maintain attendance records, model LifeWise policies, and serve as an ambassador in the community.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and provide them to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom.
• Know procedures for emergency situations.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties.
• Communicate with the teacher.
