Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a part-time teacher to share the gospel in public school classrooms, combining Bible knowledge with engaging instruction for both churched and unchurched students. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with strong communication and interpersonal skills who cares for students.

Responsibilities include completing training, delivering LifeWise lessons, maintaining attendance and rosters, and upholding LifeWise policies in a redemptive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete LifeWise Teacher Certification Course within 30 days of the start date and prior to teaching in the LifeWise classroom
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum, map out curriculum customization and build relationships with students through prayer
• Maintain attendance records, class rosters, and health concerns as noted on parent permission slips
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom and know procedures for emergencies
• Communicate with school personnel, volunteers and the program director; promote LifeWise's religious mission
