Job summary

Le Meridien & Sheraton Charlotte Hotels is seeking an ambitious banquets team member to ensure every event is smoothly executed and guests are warmly attended.

You will follow banquet event orders, assist with room setups, maintain cleanliness and safety, greet guests, and coordinate with engineering for equipment. The role requires English proficiency and a friendly, professional demeanor. This is an on-site position in a bustling hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Must have comprehensive knowledge of the English language to communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
• Proven working experience in relevant field.
• Helpful with customer service.
• Professionalism along with speed and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that details are followed from the banquet event order (BEO).
• Provide guests with the finest quality of service at all times in a warm and enthusiastic manner.
• Ensure that the banquet area is maintained in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• At the close of a function and at the end of the workday, all banquet rooms are cleared and securely locked, and equipment stored in the designated area.
• Always be present in room and greet guests upon arrival.
• Submit maintenance requests to the engineering department for broken or damaged equipment.
• Assist staff with room setups, food service, and cleanup when necessary.
• Comply with health and safety regulation and act in line with company policies and licensing laws.
• Maintain equipment in good condition.
• Report shortages, damages or security issues.
• Handle reasonable guests complaints/requests and inform others when required.
