Job summary

Le Meridien | Sheraton Charlotte Hotel is seeking an ambitious banquet team member to join our hard-working staff. This on-call role supports events by delivering attentive service and maintaining high presentation standards.

You will work at least two shifts per month, including a PM event, and collaborate with servers and housepersons to ensure guest satisfaction while following health, safety and licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and remain motivated.
• Proven working experience in relevant field.
• Smile and positive attitude when interacting with guests.
• Helpful with customer service and teamwork.
• Professionalism along with speed and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all dressings and cold sauces.
• Ensure quality guest service and comfort at all times by monitoring the area continuously.
• Have a comprehensive knowledge of all menu items, specials, beverages, wines, etc.
• Serve all items utilizing appropriate china, glassware, silverware, garnish, and condiments.
• Assist servers and set up housepersons if needed.
• Maintain safe serve regulations when serving alcoholic beverages.
• Assist in setting tables with linen and basic silver and glass maintaining high standard of presentation.
• Assist in breaking down events and cleaning rooms after functions.
• Comply with health and safety regulation and act in line with company policies and licensing laws.
• Maintain equipment in good condition.
• Report on any shortages, damages or security issues.
• Handle reasonable guests complaints/requests and inform others when required.
