Job summary

Le Meridien | Sheraton Charlotte Hotel is seeking a motivated banquet server to join our busy banquets team in Charlotte, NC. You will help ensure events run smoothly, greet guests warmly, and maintain a clean, safe banquet area throughout service.

The role requires strong English communication, prior customer service experience, and the ability to work independently with speed and attention to detail, while assisting with room setups, service, and post-event cleanup.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that details are followed from the banquet event order (BEO).
• Provide guests with the finest quality of service at all times and in a warm and enthusiastic manner.
• Ensure that the banquet area is maintained in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• At the close of a function and at the end of the workday, all banquet rooms are cleared and securely locked, and equipment is stored in the designated area.
• Always be present in room and greet guests upon arrival.
• Submit maintenance requests to the engineering department for broken or damaged equipment.
• Assist staff with room set ups, food service, and clean up when necessary.
• Comply with health and safety regulation and act in line with company policies and licensing laws.
• Maintain equipment in good condition.
• Report on any shortages, damages or security issues.
• Handle reasonable guests complaints/requests and inform others when required.
