Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Baker at Arkansas State University. You will prepare baked goods according to recipes and production specs, following culinary standards to deliver high-quality pastries for guests.

The role requires mornings with some weekends/holidays, full-time hours, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Must have a High School diploma or GED; 0–1 year bakery experience preferred. Benefits include paid time off, medical, dental, tuition reimbursement and others.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 0–1 year of related work experience.
• Experience in a specialized bakery or pastry role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check daily production schedules and prepare a variety of baked items from scratch.
• Accurately weigh ingredients, mix doughs, shape and bake items.
• Regulate oven temperatures and monitor baking times to ensure quality.
• Set up bake shop area, maintain storage, labeling, and dating of products.
• Ensure high-quality baked items and accommodate special requests.
