Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Pompano Beach, FL is seeking a Part-time Sales Associate PT at our FLPOM Public Store. This role supports B2B sales, delivers consultative value to customers, and helps grow new and existing relationships through prospecting and referrals.

You will coordinate resources for customer service needs, perform local sales calls, and contribute to branch success. The position emphasizes a customer-centric approach and teamwork in a busy retail/branch environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet driving record requirements to operate a company vehicle.
• Pursuing or have degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Management or related field OR customer service/industry experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Strong aptitude for sales and desire to sell.
• Motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented.
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities.
• Demonstrate strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills.

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs.
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
• Pass a background check, required by a customer/contract serviced by this location

Responsibilities

• Supporting business to business (B2B) sales and customer service activities
• Providing value to customer through a consultative sales approach
• Developing new and growing existing relationships from leads, referrals and prospecting

• Performing local sales calls driving a company vehicle to customer sites
