Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Lafayette, IN is seeking a Part-time Sales Associate to kickstart a sales career. This role focuses on B2B customer relationships and consultative selling of inventory management solutions at the INLAF Public Store location.

Responsibilities include prospecting, developing new and existing client relationships, and coordinating resources to meet customer needs. The position offers up to 28 hours per week and a path for training and growth within Fastenal.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older with a valid driver6s license and able to drive company vehicle
• Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field OR relevant experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Strong aptitude for sales and customer service orientation
• Strong math, organization, prioritizing and problem solving abilities
• Demonstrated integrity, ambition and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Supporting business to business (B2B) sales and customer service activities
• Providing value to customer through a consultative sales approach
• Developing new and growing existing relationships from leads, referrals and prospecting
• Coordinating resources to respond to customer service needs
• Performing local sales calls driving a company vehicle to customer sites
• Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch success
